Terms of use
The agreement for using My AI Family Friend, written in plain English on purpose. It's not a substitute for your own legal advice, but it should actually be readable.

1. Who may use this
You must be 18 or older to create an account. We ask you to confirm this at signup, with a checkbox that reads "I'm 18 or older and agree to the Terms." If you're under 18, please don't use this service.
2. What this is
My AI Family Friend is an AI companion — software that holds a conversation and remembers things about you over time. It is not a person, however it may sound. It is designed to be strictly platonic and non-romantic, and that's not a setting you can turn off.
3. What this is not
This is not therapy, and not medical, legal or financial advice. It is not a crisis service and is not built to handle emergencies. 4. AI output can be wrong
The model behind your companion can produce text that is inaccurate, out of date, or simply inappropriate for the moment. Don't rely on it for consequential decisions — financial, medical, legal or otherwise. You're responsible for what you do with what it says. How the AI works
5. Your account
Keep your login credentials secure and don't share them. Accounts are for one person each — please don't create or use an account on someone else's behalf. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you write. We store and process it only to run the service for you — to generate replies, build your companion's memory, and support features like family spaces. We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising, and we don't train AI models on your conversations. Privacy, plainly
7. Acceptable use
No illegal use. No harassment of others. No attempting to break, overload or scrape the service. No using it to generate content that sexualises minors or incites violence. And within a family space, don't put someone else's sensitive information there without their agreement — it's their information too.
8. Family spaces
The person who writes something into a family space is responsible for having written it. Sharing is per-category and consent-based: a care note about a specific person is only meant to be shared once that person has opted in themselves.
9. Preview status
The service is currently free while in preview, and no card is required to sign up. It's provided "as is," features may change or be removed as it develops, and we don't guarantee any particular level of uptime.
10. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
11. Liability
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes, and contact
