Help us test
My AI Family Friend is an AI companion: a platonic friend with long-term memory you control, a growth partner for slow goals, and a consent-first family memory keeper. It is always upfront about being an AI.
It's free during the preview — no card, no ads. By trying it now you're helping us find what's broken, confusing or missing before more people arrive. Thank you.
What to try
Work through as much or as little as you like — even one item helps.
1. Sign up
Create an account (you need to confirm you're 18 or older), then check that the confirmation email arrives and its link works.
2. Finish onboarding
Name your companion and choose how it shows up for you. Note anything that is unclear, or any step that feels too long.
3. Chat
Open Companion and talk about something real: a plan, a worry, your week. Watch the reply stream in, and notice if anything feels slow, repetitive, or off.
4. Check a memory
After a few messages, open Memories. Is what your companion remembered accurate? Try editing, pinning and deleting one.
5. Try a ritual
On Today, start a morning, evening or weekly ritual and see whether it gives the day a little shape without asking too much of you.
6. Set up a family space
Under Family, create a space or join one with an invite code. Look closely at the sharing switches: is it clear what other members can and can't see?
7. Try voice replies
Turn on voice replies in Settings and see whether replies are read aloud. Voice depends on a separate service, so it's worth telling us if it's silent or slow.
8. Try dark mode and text size
In Settings, switch to dark mode and change the text size. Look for text that's hard to read, overlapping elements, or anything that breaks on a small phone screen.
How to report a bug
Tap the Feedback button at the bottom right of any page (on the chat screen it sits just above the message box). Pick Bug, Idea or Other, say what happened or what would help, and send. You don't need an account to do this.
The more specific the better: what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead.
Sent along with your note
- The page you were on
- The app version (build) you were using
- Your browser and device description
- The last few error messages your browser logged, if any
- If you're signed in, the report is linked to your account, and your name and email are included so we can reply
- If you're signed out, an email address only if you choose to add one
What we do with reports
Each report is stored on our own servers and sent to the people building the app. We read them, fix bugs first, and use ideas to decide what to build next.
Please don't put anything in a report you wouldn't want us to read. Feedback is separate from your conversations, and we don't attach your messages or memories to it.
If you're struggling
The companion is an AI, not a crisis service or a therapist. If you or someone near you needs urgent help, please read our crisis support page and reach a real person.
